Hello! If you made it to my blog, I’m guessing you are a mama! You may feel like you are crushing life, or maybe…some days, life is crushing you a little bit. You may stay home, you may work but either way, you love your kiddos more than life. Being a mother and a wife is an incredible gift and it’s one that I feel I was completely letting the magic slip me by. I knew there had to be more. More confidence in myself as a mother, more for me as a human aside from being a mama and more joy in each day with my kiddo. If any of that resonates with you, stick around! My blogs are full of hacks on how I found the joy and combine my hours of research I have done on finding a balance between living a “Crunchy” lifestyle and also having Kraft Mac & Cheese for lunch some days.

I was newly postpartum, heading back to work and I felt like I was five steps behind at all moments of everyday. I decided that I needed to find a better rhythm and find ways to make my life a little easier. I am definitely a systems person, and have been for years. But, finding systems when your life changes every few weeks with a newborn is HARD.

I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with my husband and (currently) one son, Liam. Liam is almost 15 months old and I am due with our second boy in the next few weeks. I am fortunate enough to stay home with my son. We spend a lot of time outside. I love to run and overall just keep myself in shape. I embraced a “scrunchie” lifestyle several years back and I wanted to make sure that continued for my son as well. Finding products at a good price that were also low-toxic or non-toxic was crucial for me. I spent hours cruising through other blogs, and piecing together different information. I thought, there should be a one stop shop. Where mamas can find out about the registry items, but also what activities can keep their baby/kids occupied and of course there’s the house to keep up with. Basically, all the things that mamas are responsible for. That’s when I set out to create Flourishing Mama life. I found a rhythm that worked really well for us and my hope is that I can show other moms that you CAN have joy amidst the chaos of life.
